His idea of multilevel selection is basically right…but he mixes it with group selection. If one equates demes/families/colonies with certain genetic constitution (especially in self pollinated plants) interdemic selection selection occurs. Crow has suggested this as well. Wilson has not stated this differentiation clearly. But he has the guts to admit that he was wrong!
