There is too much stuff in our lives as far as I am concerned, but the stuff I own is my own fault. There is a basic rule of equilibrium with stuff: if you want a constant amount of stuff in your life, you need to get rid of old stuff before you can welcome in new stuff.
Below is a list of stuff that I am getting rid of: some for sale, some for free. Use the contact form at the bottom of the page to let me know if you are interested in any of the items below.
For sale is my daughter’s three-year-old Trek performance hybrid bike. It is a Women’s Specific Design (WSD), so it should be more comfortable for a person with “typical” women’s proportions (longer leg-to-torso ratio). It is a very small bike — 13″ — suitable for someone in the range of 5 feet tall. Despite being a small-framed bike, it has 700c wheels so it is very fast and efficient.
The bike is used but in excellent condition: all imperfections are cosmetic. I am a very competent bike mechanic and have maintained this bike throughout its three years of light use.
I am asking $375, a substantial savings over the $490 + tax MSRP. I will entertain lower offers, but I think that this is a pretty fair deal at $375.
You can check out the 2015 version of this bike, which is really similar, on Trek’s website.
Below are some pictures:
The bike is sold as pictured except:

For sale is a used men’s Columbia 3-in-1 Ski Jacket, size medium.
As the pictures show, this jacket is in great condition. Zip-in, zip-out lining can be used as a light jacket alone or combined with the shell for very cold conditions. Shell itself is great for layering if you don’t use the zip-in lining.
I inherited a Gore-Tex shell, which is the only reason I am getting rid of this one.

I am getting rid of this rainsuit, which was originally owned by my grandfather on his sailboat.
It is a two-piece Helly Hansen rainsuit, size XL.
It’s big! 44″ waist (although it does have a drawstring). I am 6’4″ tall and the pants and jacket were long enough for me.
It’s dirty! I used it for bike commuting, so it is not a pure “yellow” anymore.
Perfect for anyone who needs to work outside in wet, cold conditions.
