Evolution of Cooperation student work

Creative Term Project
During a few of the semesters that I have taught The Evolution of Cooperation, I have required my students to complete a Creative Term Project. Students are asked to conduct independent library and internet research on a topic related to the course and then build a concept map portraying the ideas and concepts that emerged from their research. Students then come of with a proposal for a creative work that will incorporate and express the ideas and concepts discovered during their research. Students present these proposals, receive feedback from me and from their peers, and complete the creative work by the end of the semester.

The guidelines for this assignment can be found here.

Research Project
During a few of the semesters that I have taught The Evolution of Cooperation, I have required my students to complete a Research Project. Like the Research Project in my Behavioral Ecology course, this project asks students to spend the semester researching a topic, identifying scientific questions emerging from that topic, and designing, implementing, and documenting a study designed to answer one of those questions. Guidelines for this project can be downloaded here. Below are some of the best student Research Projects that I have received, downloadable as PDF’s:
